Toasty Travels is a decade-long culmination of Taylor Ikemiya’s experiences, a curious adventurer whose life was completely altered by studying abroad. Taylor has not stopped exploring since returning from Southeast Asia and she now runs Toasty Travels, a woman of color owned and operated small business.

Taylor is an avid traveler who is passionate about curating travel experiences, creating digital content, and building travel guides. She is in love with the concept of new—exploring new places, meeting new people, trying new foods, and learning new things—and hopes to inspire others to travel near and far to change their perspectives while encouraging deeper levels of cross-cultural understanding. Taylor aims to motivate individuals to live their lives to the fullest by carefully curating inspirational travel guides, itineraries, and more as well as offering travel consultation and planning services that are rooted in firsthand experience-based knowledge. Additionally, she wants to make sustainable travel more accessible to those who desire to step outside of their comfort zone but may not know how to take that first step.

• 10+ years of budgeting and financial management experience.
• 7+ years of travel planning & itinerary creation.
• 7+ years of digital communications content creation and management.
• 5+ years of project management experience for small businesses and nonprofits.
• Solo travelled & backpacked over 15 countries, including Southeast Asia.
• MA in International Development, University College Dublin (Dublin, Ireland)
• BA in Global Information and Social Enterprise Studies, minors in Politics & Education, University of California, Santa Cruz (Santa Cruz, California, USA)
• National University of Singapore (Singapore)

Travel has presented Taylor with the opportunity to craft her communication skills, further develop her passion for photography and photo editing, and diversify her professional skillsets over the past decade. Moreover, studying at three global universities, working in different professional capacities throughout the United States, and teaching English in Japan have culminated in an increased passion for cultural exchange, community building, strengthening global connections, and uniting individuals of diverse backgrounds.
