On my first trip abroad, I left America for almost five months to study in Singapore. As a reward for flying all the way to first Taipei and then to Singapore by myself, I booked my flight on EVA Air’s Hello Kitty Jet. It totally made the 14-hour ordeal from Los Angeles to Taipei a little more do-able; from the aircraft’s exterior to my boarding passes to the in-flight meals to the toilet paper, everything was adorned with Hello Kitty. Even the flight attendants had pink Hello Kitty aprons on—it was just too cute!

For those who aren’t fans of the famous Sanrio character, the plane could be a little overkill. Yet, I think the concept is awesome and a unique travel experience. If you have the opportunity, definitely book a flight through EVA Air to experience this one-of-a-kind flight with excellent service for yourself. If landing in the Taiwan Taoyuan Airport with some time to bop around, check out the Hello Kitty-themed terminal area, too.

To fly on one of these cute, Kitty-fied planes, you must book specific EVA Air flights from select cities to Taiwan. When booking, be sure to check the flight number and date to ensure you have correctly selected the Hello Kitty Jet. More information about Hello Kitty flights can be found on EVA Air’s website.
